Sue Perkins is no stranger to disappointment. Sue started her career in the mid 90's as one quarter of double act Mel and Sue. Although their Fringe shows were incredibly popular they never won the Perrier. Together they jumped and shouted and gurned through countless hours of television, notably Light Lunch and Late Lunch (Channel 4). They were nominated for several awards, and won none. As a solo performer, Sue presented three series of the Sky film show, Movie Babylon, and two series of Good Evening Rockall on BBC 3. She is the host of the Sony Award winning radio show 99p Challenge, with Armando Iannucci and Simon Pegg, and appears regularly on Just A Minute, the Mark Radcliffe Show and It's Been a Bad Week (Radio 2). In 2006 Sue wrote and performed her first solo live stand up show at the Edinburgh Festival, which sold out its entire run. Which, while not really disappointing for Sue, must have come as a bit of a blow to those who couldn't get tickets. Now Croydon's favourite bi-polar clown returns with all-new jokes about sadness, disease and rejection. Book early to ensure disappointment. |
